It’s fine weather today, isn’t it?
What was everyone doing this morning?
What did you clean in your kitchen?
After staying in the hospital for a week, the doctor discharged me and told me to go rest at home.
I (picked / gathered) some chestnuts outside. At home, I gave up peeling the chestnuts.
I was very surprised.
The day was very surprising.
Did you play 18 holes?
Did you play a full round of golf?
Have you ever (gone / been) golfing?
My husband sometimes competes in golfing competitions. He brings home prizes, like sweets, meat or fruit.
Eat the Rainbow
We use A FEW with countable nouns and we use A LITTLE with uncountable nouns; these mean “a small amount of quantity”
We use SOME with countable and uncountable nouns; this means “an amount or a quantity
We use A LOT OF (or LOTS OF) with countable and uncountable nouns; this means “a large amount or quantity”
I ate a lot of ice cream. (=I ate a large amount of ice cream)
I drank some wine.
I ate some (slices of) pear. (= Less than a whole pear)
I ate some pears. (= More than one whole pear)

Vocabulary
Clean (verb); (general) to make clean
