    • ( ROH-dee-oh ); a term referring to the cowboy sports

    • ( roh-DEY-oh ); (Spanish pronunciation) use for the famous street name

  • His face was always expressionless.

  • He died at the young age of 74.

    • He died at the age of 74, it was too early.

  • (Should / Must) be able to

    • You should be able to speak basic English for your trip.

    • You should be able to solve simple math problems for your grade level.

    • Students should be able to understand the main idea of a short story.

    • You must be able to follow safety rules in the lab.

    • You must be able to complete your homework by the deadline.

    • Employees must be able to operate the new software for their job.

  • There are some Ginko trees lining the street. (NOT in a line)

Vocabulary

  • Expressionless; (adj) (of a person's face or voice) not conveying any emotion

  • "Should be able to" suggests something is important or advisable to do, but it's not an absolute requirement.

  • "Must be able to" implies a strong requirement or necessity. It's something you have to do or achieve, no exceptions.

  • Brainwash; (verb) influencing someone's thoughts and beliefs strongly, making them think or behave in a certain way, often against their will.
