Words & Phrases

  • Around thirty thousand spectators watched the final game.

    • The audience enjoyed the hula performances.

  • I thought it was easy to do, but actually I was quite difficult.

  • The former amusement park is now a rose garden.

Appropriate Language

  • Spectator; (countable noun) somewhat who watches something, especially a sports event

  • Audience; (uncountable noun) the group of people watching or listening to a play, concert, film or public meeting
