Village / Town / City
It’s not common to use city, town or village after the name of a place
It’s more common to say “city of … / town of … / village of …”
“I went to see autumn leaves in Minowa, Nagano.” (NOT Minowa town)
“I went to see the autumn leaves in the town of Minowa, Nagano.”
“I am spending two weeks in the city of Toronto to study cooking.”
“We drove through the small village of Bixby on our way to the coast.”
