Lesson Notes November 14, 2023 (TUESDAY ZOOM)

  • Are there any houses decorated for Christmas near your house?

  • During the Christmas holidays some people will drive around and look at the decorations and decorated neighbourhoods.

  • Some neighbourhoods around Tokyo hang Christmas lights.

  • I always hang a Christmas wreath on my door.

  • I bought a Christmas doll and will decorate my entrance with it.

  • Did your family go out and cut down a Christmas tree each year?

    • We did when I was younger, but we switched to an artificial one later on. It’s less hassle.

  • I got three emails from someone posing as the tax office.

    • The emails said I owed ¥2000 in back taxes.

  • The event had many artists who talked about their art. (NOT about their arts)

    • Some of the works of art were rather amateurish.

    • I made several pieces of art over this last year.

    • The exhibit showed the artists art works outside.
