Lesson Notes May 28, 2024 (TUESDAY ZOOM)

  • It’s a bit humid today, isn’t it?

  • Your voice is still a bit (hoarse / husky).

  • I bumped into Kris and Phil yesterday. (NOT bump up)

  • The new area is still not finished yet. (NOT not perfect yet)

  • The one wrestler has a back injury.

    • He has a problem with his back.

  • I don’t think he’ll retire until he has a double digit win.

  • If he performs well at the next tournament, he might get promoted.

  • Currently, twenty people are running for Tokyo governor.

    • It seems like only two people are qualified to be governor.

  • The number of decent people to be politicians is very few and far between.

  • He appointed his son as a secretary, but then had to dismiss him after a scandal.

  • Has anyone experienced severe turbulence?

  • The wind is starting to pick up. (= pick up speed)

  • I think the weather is making me feel a little (lightheaded / dizzy).

  • One of my back-teeth has a cavity. It was treated before, but still it pains me.
