  • We are growing three different types of cherry tomatoes?

  • Plants grow; germinate and develop

    • People grow up; the process of maturing and developing from childhood to adulthood

  • Fragrance; a pleasant, sweet smell

  • A shaded garden is an area in a backyard that receives limited amounts of direct sunlight.

    • You should choose plants and flowers based on how much sunlight your garden gets.

  • Shrub; a type of plant that is smaller than a tree, and has several woody stems coming from the ground

    • Examples; roses, azaleas, holly, camellia, hydrangea etc

  • Propagate ( PROP-uh-geyt ); to create new plants from existing ones, especially using techniques such as cuttings, division, layering, grafting or seed sowing

    • I’m using cuttings to try to propagate black pine.

    • I’ve sowed some kumquat seeds, I hope they propagate by June.

  • Ornamental pumpkins; used for decorative purposes, rather than consumption

  • A mine and a quarry are both places where minerals, rocks, or other materials are extracted from the ground

    • Mine; extracted through underground or surface excavation; like gold, silver, and copper, or precious stones, such as diamonds and emeralds

    • Quarry; a place where stone, sand, gravel, or other materials are extracted from the surface of the Earth

  • Some ponds are man-made (or artificial) ponds, and others are natural ponds.
