  • The cherry trees started blooming this week, it’s earlier than usual. Perhaps next week they will be in full bloom.

    • There are different (kinds / types) of cherry trees along the river near my house.

  • The leaves on this plant don’t fall off, but they do (droop / curl) in late summer.

  • Basic mathematical symbols

    • Plus (+): The plus sign is used to represent addition

      • "2 + 2 = 4" means "two plus two equals four”.

    • Minus (-): The minus sign is used to represent subtraction

      • "4 - 2 = 2" means "four minus two equals two”.

    • Multiply (×): The multiplication symbol is used to represent multiplication

      • "3 × 4 = 12" means "three times four equals twelve”.

    • Divide (÷): The division symbol is used to represent division

      • "10 ÷ 2 = 5" means "ten divided by two equals five”.

  • Championship; a contest for the position of champion in a sport or game

    • Semi-final; a match or round of a competition immediately preceding the final

    • Quarter-final; a match or round of a competition that precedes the semi-final

  • Japan’s house of parliament has a lower house and an upper house.

  • Where did their wedding ceremony take place? (NOT where did they take place their wedding ceremony)

    • Where was their wedding ceremony?

    • Where did they hold their wedding ceremony?

  • I don’t wear A MASK on the way to the station, when I get there I put IT on. I always make sure to wear ONE while on public transportation.

  • Droop; bend or hang downwards limply, sag
