The Disney characters danced and sang a song.
The bride and groom are cutting the wedding cake.
The napkins were folded to look like Mickey Mouse.
One of the students in my class usually has painted nails.
I was on duty to set up the school gym, and to take care of any accidents. (NOT I was on watch duty)
Some of the mothers played volleyball when they were younger, so they coach the students.
They practice three times a week.
I have played volleyball on a team in Asao. (NOT I have been playing)
A: What position did you play?
B: I played in the back. (NOT backside)My daughter’s position is setter. She is short.
Weekends
When she got home, she saw that the zipper was broken. (= When she arrived home)
Cost; the pronunciation does not change.
Read; the pronunciation changes, present tense is ( reed ) and the past tense is ( red )
The zipper was broken; means the zipper was damaged, not working properly, also “the zipper split)
The zipper was broken on the jacket I bought. (Was = past tense of be, broken is an adjective
