Topic: Describing Friends

Lesson Notes June 4, 2024 (Elementary)

  • Did you get a haircut? (NOT Did you cut your hair?)

  • Did you get your hair dyed?

    • Only in the front.

    • The back and the sides I didn’t get dyed.

  • All of my family members, except my grandchild, got sick with a bad cough. I had the worst symptoms.

    • I had a chronic cough.

  • They need to be on good terms with their families.

    • They need to get along well with their family and friends.

  • We usually don’t say people have “black” eyes; “a black eye” usually means having a bruise around your eye

    • She was of diminutive stature.

    • He had a diminutive frame.

  • Hair; straight; braided; spiky; bald
