Singapore and Malaysia are neighbours.
The country has a short history, it’s been an independent country since 1965. (NOT a shallow history)
What souvenirs did you buy for (yourself / your family / your friends etc)?
My senses were (attacked / assaulted / overwhelmed) by all the new experiences.
There is a waterfall inside the airport, I was so amazed!
The hotel didn’t have a traditional check-in counter, but luckily, they did give me a keycard.
How were the prices in (Japan / Canada / Singapore etc)? (= prices of goods, food etc)
I went to the observation deck to get a beautiful view of the city at sunset.
There is an observatory in the city, you can go there an look at the stars.
There are various food courts in the stations around the city.
Let’s meet at the food court at the local mall for lunch on Sunday.

I don’t have any plans, but I’ll probably go somewhere.
I think most of the people I saw were not in a tour group.
We saw some women travelling (alone / on their own).
