Words & Phrases

  • Did you hear about the wild boar running around the Den En Chofu University area?

  • (1) My friend butchered a wild boar.

  • (2) I really butchered a song at karaoke last night.

  • (3) I find wild boar not to be as gamey as other wild animals.

    • (4) I have never eaten game before, have you?

  • A blog is a website where people write detailed posts, often with text and images.

    • Instagram is a social media platform focused on sharing photos and short videos. People can also interact with likes and comments.

  • Many women and some men suffer from iron-deficiency anemia.

    • Those people are anemic, they can suffer from dizziness and fainting.

  • My husband has low-blood pressure, it’s usually 90/40. (= ninety over forty)

Appropriate Language

  • (1) To slaughter an animal, fish or poultry

  • (2) To make a mess of something, to ruin

  • (3) (also; gamy) having flavour or odour of game

  • (4) wild animals, including fish and fishes, that are hunted for food or taken for sport
