  • Today, our solar panel system is being installed.

  • Buying new cooking goods can be good.

  • I (got / had) gas installed, since I don’t care for IH burners.

  • Subsidy; money granted or contributed to help costs

    • There are subsidies from the Tokyo government and Komae city.

    • We got subsidies from the government to install a solar panel system.

  • Concept (car / vehicle); made as an experimental model to test innovative design features

  • Naturalized; admit (a foreigner) to the citizenship of a country

  • Did you see the World Track and Field competition?

    • Javelin; a light spear

    • 4x100m relay (four by one-hundred metre relay)

  • Many shops in my hometown closed along the main street. (= permanently closed)

    • Many shops in my hometown were closed along the main street because of the holidays.
