Grammar
It’s common to use “have” (or “had” in the past tense) when talking about receiving or arranging for a service like cleaning, repair, or treatment.
“I had my hair cut yesterday.”
This means you went to a hairdresser and they cut your hair. You didn’t do it yourself, so “had” shows that you received the service.
“She is having her car repaired today.”
This means she took her car to a mechanic, and they are fixing it. “Having” is used to show that she arranged for someone else to do the repair.
“We had the house cleaned last week.”
This means you hired someone to clean the house, and they did the cleaning for you. “Had” shows that you received the service of cleaning.
