Words & Phrases

  • I wanted to move in June since our mail forwarding ends that month.

  • TV drama (noun); A television show that tells a story, usually with serious themes or emotional situations

    • The TV drama had an intense storyline that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

    • He loves watching TV dramas because of the complex characters and plot twists.

    • The TV drama series became very popular and won several awards.

  • They rebroadcast this week’s episodes on Saturdays.

Appropriate Language

You can use first place, second place, third place, etc. to describe rankings at the end of a tournament in sports like baseball, volleyball, and even sumo.

  • Our volleyball team won first place in the tournament after a tough final match.

  • She finished in second place at the marathon, just a few seconds behind the winner.

  • Japan took third place in the international baseball championship this year.
