  • Some people collapsed due to the heat. They might suffer from heatstroke. (Collapse (verb); (of a person) fall down and lose consciousness due to illness or injury.)

  • The fire alarm in my condominium building went off earlier today. The alarm system is very old and sometimes malfunctions.

  • How many lengths do you swim at the pool?

  • Swimming is good for my health, but its not making me lose weight.
