  • After the funeral arrangements we went to Nagoya.

  • Does anyone know how many people over 100 years old live in Japan?

  • Do you know about the rice shortage?

    • Three supermarkets had no rice at all.

    • The rice shelves were empty at the supermarket.

  • The rice stalks are long, so they fall easily in the wind.

  • I made (adzuki / red bean) (paste / jam) the other day. It was very easy.

  • New Year’s cooking involves many steps and takes a lot of time.

    • Soak the beans in a syrup.

  • A Canadian company wants to (acquire / buy / take over) 7-11 convenience stores.

  • OB Cafe in OPA is closing for good. (= closing permanently)
