Topic: Have / Get Something Done
Section A
Look at the two situations and study the explanation.
“I cut my hair every month.”
“I have my hair cut every month.”
We use the structure have something done when we arrange for somebody to do something for us.
My car was dirty so I had it washed.
We didn’t want to cook, so we had a pizza delivered.
My computer is working again. I had my grandson fix it.
In informal English, we can also use get instead of have.

We can also use have something done when somebody does something bad to us.

I am planning to take the Narita Express from Shinjuku tomorrow. The airport shuttle from Shinyurigaoka isn’t convenient these days.
Appropriacy
The term "Limousine Bus" is commonly used in Japan, but outside Japan, "Airport shuttle" or "airport express bus" would be more universally understood.
Have & Get something done
Your glasses are bent. You should them (mended / fixed / repaired).
I thought that vase was broken. When did you get it (put back together / fixed / repaired / reassembled)?
"Put back together" is a phrasal verb that means to fix something that was broken. For example, if a toy is in pieces, you put it back together by joining the pieces to make it whole again.
She’s having her hair (cut / done). (“Done” is more suitable than “dressed”)
Their windows are no longer dirty. What have they done?
They’ve had their windows cleaned.
They’ve had them cleaned.
