Topic: Asking for Directions
Lesson Notes September 26, 2023 (Elementary)
I took my nephew to the dentist, the dentist said he had cavities.
I found (a funny / an interesting) thing in my garden.
The tea has no taste.
The tea is tasteless.
When describing the effects of something on your body, we can say
It’s good for your (skin / hair / eyes etc)
It’s bad for your (teeth / breath / ears etc)
The temple takes care of the graves. They weed the grave as well.
I’m worried that my suitcase will be bulky and heavy.
My suitcase is just big enough to bring into the cabin.
It’s a carry-on-suitcase.
Asking for Directions
Remember you’ll always want to give simple, easy to remember directions.
Go straight and turn left at the traffic lights. (NOT turn to the left)
The post office is (after / next to) the cinema.
Go right and it’s on the left.
Vocabulary
Cavity; (noun; plural: cavities) a decayed part of a tooth
Pod; (noun) the case or covering of most beans (legumes)
Bulky; (adj) large and difficult to move because of size, weight, shape etc
