Appropriate Language
“Things happen for a reason." means that events in life, even if we don’t understand them, often have a purpose or lead to something important.
If you miss a bus but then meet a friend you haven’t seen in a long time, someone might say, "Things happen for a reason!”
Local means a place that is situated in a more rural or less touristy area, where it caters mostly to locals rather than tourists
The onsen area is very local, you won’t find many tourists so it’s great!
My friend comes from a small local town in Hokkaido.
