Words & Phrases

  • The changing room at the next event isn’t so big, so please don’t use a large bag.

    • In the changing room many people will be doing their hair and doing their makeup.

  • My granddaughter is staying with us for a four-day trial. For the first half, my son will be staying with her, but for the second half, it’ll just be her.

Work Words

Section 1

  • Stable job; a job that is secure and unlikely to change or end.

  • I’d like a good company with excellent benefits.

    • I want a good support system.

  • I want a company that I feel motivated.

    • I want to be motivated to go to work.

    • I want to work at a company that motivates me.

  • Paid vacation; Time off from work where you still get paid your regular salary

  • Paid leave; Time away from work for specific reasons (like illness or family needs) where you still get paid.
