Appropriate Language
What vs How
What’s the temperature in Tokyo?
This is asking for the specific temperature in degrees; “It’s 20 degrees.”
What did you do last weekend?
This is a direct question for specific activities; “I went hiking.”
How’s the temperature in Tokyo?
This asks more about the feel of the temperature; “It’s warm.” / “It’s chilly.”
How was your weekend?
This asks more about the overall experience or feeling of the weekend; “It was great.” / “It was terrible.”
