  • I’m not very good at using a corkscrew.

  • I bought a new router, and installed (an amplifier / a booster) upstairs.

    • The provider is the same, but the router is different.

  • My son needs to train and handover his work to the new staff.

Hear & Listen

  • Hear; (a passive state)

  • Listen; (a focused action)

    • Sorry, what did you say? I was listening to music and couldn’t hear you.

    • I was listening to the TV while I was cooking dinner, and I heard an ambulance nearby.

See / Look (at) / Watch

  • See; (something comes to our eyes)

  • Look (at); (concentrating, paying attention, focusing)

  • Watching; (similar as “look at” but something is happening, moving, changing)

    • Can you see me over here?

    • I was looking at old family photographs.

    • I like watching the trees blow in the wind.
