  • After the class at the gym my shoulder was stiff, so I sat in a massage chair for around twenty minutes.

    • The 4th floor has massage chairs and a virtual golf range.

    • Sometimes massage chairs tickle me when I use them.

  • Clean / Tidy / Organize

    • She needs to clean her room. (= implies that the room is dirty and needs to be tidied up by removing any clutter or dirt)

    • She needs to (organize / declutter / clear out) her room. (= implies you need to get rid of some of the items in the room to create more space or make it tidier)

  • Both my daughters have their own rooms in my house.

  • My friend told me that the house across the street from hers caught fire. (= a fire happened at some point earlier)

  • The house next door is (vacant / abandoned), no one has lived there for several years.

    • The house next door is a general phrase that refers to the property adjacent to the speaker's house.

  • Vacant (house / apartment / property etc); a property that is currently unoccupied or has no residents

    • It might be a house that is between tenants or a second home that the owner only uses occasionally.

  • Abandoned (house / apartment / property etc); a property that has been left vacant for a long time and is in a state of disrepair.

    • The owner may have abandoned the property or be unable or unwilling to maintain it.

  • Inheritor (noun); a person who receives money, property, or other assets from someone who has died

    • My aunt was named as the inheritor of my grandfather's antique collection when he passed away last year.

  • Inherit (verb): to receive money, property, or other assets from someone who has died

    • After her father died, she inherited his house and all of its contents, including the family heirlooms.

  • There are several high-rise condos being built around the city. (High-rise is more common than skyscraper condo)
