Lesson Notes June 18, 2024 (TUESDAY ZOOM)

  • Many car makers have apologized for falsifying data.

  • His car was hit by another car, and was heavily damaged.

    • The car was hit on the (passenger / driver) side.

    • A car crashed into my friends car.

  • Japan requires every senior to complete cognitive testing during their license renewal process.

  • I have a driver’s license, but I don’t drive. (NOT I’m a paper driver)

    • I stopped driving over 30 years ago.

    • I gave up my driver’s license.

  • When I did drive, I would take my family to the station in the morning.

    • I dropped my family off at the station in the mornings.

  • When I need to buy heavy or bulky items my car is indispensable.

  • I bought a (used / second hand) car.

  • My friend drove for one of the last times this week. She was able to come to my house and go back home safely.

  • I don’t use the bus often, it’s inconvenient. There is only one or two buses an hour.
