Vocabulary

  • We use (have / has) to describe when someone has an illness or disease

    • My mother-in-law has a little dementia, so she forgets some people.

  • We use (to be) to describe a condition with an adjective

    • My mother-in-law is a little forgetful, she has problems remembering some people.

  • Tender; (of food) easy to cut or chew; not tough

  • Tough; (of food) difficult to cut or chew; not tender

  • I am very short and have short hair, and I wear glasses.

  • I have dark hair and dark brown hair, and I wear glasses when I read a book.

  • I have medium length wavy brown hair, and dark brown eyes, and I sometimes wear glasses.
