Words & Phrases
It’s been terribly hot recently. (NOT terrible hot) (“Terribly” is an adverb)
The heat is terrible recently. (“Terrible” is an adjective)
We met in the audience. (NOT we met in the seat)
The audience is where people sit to watch a performance.
The audience (couldn’t / was asked not to) take photos.
A pro-photographer took photographs of the event. (NOT a pro-cameraman)
A cameraman recorded our performance, and it will air on TV next week.
The centre ladies were in their seventies and eighties.
Appearance is very important, maybe more so than dancing.
Undo; (verb) unfasten, untie, loosen (something)
Figure skaters hair often comes undone.
Your zipper is undone. Turn around and do up your zipper.
I tied my shoes too tight. I can’t undo my laces.
I have trouble doing my hair. I can’t do a bun and I can’t do braids.
It was so humid that my make-up ran down my cheeks, and my hair came loose.
My hula sister had a setting spray to help our make-up stay in place.
We are going to (do / have) a small recital.

Grammar
We use “like” to say that things are similar, we use “like” before a noun or pronoun
You have to dance like a professional dancer. (NOT as a professional dancer)
You look like your sister.
She’s dressed just like me.

Appropriacy
A cameraman is a person who operates a video or tv or movie film camera. A person who operates a camera that takes still pictures is a photographer.
“Make-up” is a noun for cosmetics that people wear. We use “do” for styling our hair
