General & Specific
When you see or are shown a photo
A: This is my sister’s toy poodle.
B: It’s cute! (= specific)
When talking about an unknown, unseen
A: My friend has a dog.
B: (Dogs / They) are cute. (= in general) (NOT it’s cute
Vocabulary
Fortune (slip); (noun) a slip of paper with a prediction on it
