How to say dates
March 3rd and 4th. (Two dates)
March 3rd to 7th. (Consecutive dates)
March 3rd, 4th, and 6th. (A range of dates)
Business People
Verbs ending in a consonant + -y we change to -ied
Marry - married / hurry - hurried / study - studied / apply - applied / try - tried
Verbs ending in a vowel + -y we do not change
play - played / enjoy - enjoyed /
Sometimes a word ends in vowel + consonant, so we double the consonant at the end
stop - stopped / plan - planned / rub - rubbed / thin - thinned
