  • All at once; all at the same time

    • While I was cooking dinner, everything happened all at once, the stove boiled over, the door bell rang, the phone rang, my kid hurt himself.

  • My daughter said she was expecting. (= be pregnant)

  • I went to the Harry Potter (performance / play). (NOT stage)

  • I bought a Gryffindor shoulder bag to carry my phone.

Education

  • Pay attention; to focus on someone who is talking, or on what is happening

    • If you had been paying attention you would know there was a test today.

  • I never paid attention in classes I disliked.

  • I often made educated guesses on tests, I didn’t like to study.

  • If I liked the subject I studied and worked hard.
