Words & Phrases

  • It was so cold outside that I put on my toque before going out.

    • In Canada, wearing a toque is common during the winter to keep warm.

  • We arrived 45 minutes late for our restaurant reservation.

  • The chef has one Michelin Star. I recommend going to this restaurant.

  • One of my favourite restaurants in Omotesando is called Smokehouse. It’s an BBQ restaurant.

  • We never go see movies in the theatre anymore. We always watch on Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+.

  • Kawasaki Art Centre (plays / has) interesting movies.

  • I had to take buses to Mitaka.

    • How long did it take by bus?

    • I had to (transfer / switch / change) buses at Chofu.
