The concert was at the hotel.
There is a really good restaurant in this hotel.
I’m a die-hard fan of her.
“Die-hard fan” is a slang expression that describes someone who is very passionate and dedicated to something, often to an extreme level.
The singer asked us to raise our hand if it was our first concert.
I’ve seen a man a few times at concerts. I don’t know him, but he stands out.
Grammar
Using AT and IN
We use “at” to indicate a location or event happening at a specific place, like a hotel, but we wouldn’t use “in” unless the concert was inside a particular room or area of the hotel (e.g., in a ballroom).
So, the general rule is:
“At the hotel” for the hotel as a location.
“In the hotel” when talking about being inside the building itself.
Pronunciation
In spoken English when one word ends in a consonant sound (not spelling) and the next word begins with a vowel sound (not spelling), the two sounds are link together without a pause in between them
