Lesson Notes February 13, 2023 (Elementary)

  • I had to clean and tidy up two rooms for my family, and I had to set up beds for them.

    • I bought a new pc and my son will set it up for me.

  • I’m going to (attend / go to) a convert for children. (= as an audience member)

    • I’m going to (participate in / play in) a concert for children. (= as a performer)

  • There were two strange people. One with a large pink pillow. The other wore a skullcap like a monk. They were speaking in a loud angry voice to a girl.

  • There was a raccoon at my daughter’s house.

    • A neighbour put a note in her (postbox / mailbox) that a raccoon was sleeping on their porch.

    • My husband (frightened / scared) the raccoon by making a loud noise.
