Grammar
We don’t need to use “the” when talking about the location of a specific place.
“Machida station” refers to a specific location, so “the” is not necessary
We need to use “the” when talking about a specific building (= the Shinyurigaoka station building)

Splendid; means very beautiful, impressive, or excellent. It’s used to describe something that is high quality or visually striking.
Imposing; means grand, impressive or has a strong presence.
Home cooking; food that is prepared and cooked at home
