  • It’s hard to get back home in time to join the next lesson.

  • Make sure you come to class on time.

  • I finished my homework just in time.

  • I picked up a calendar for the next year at my bank.

  • (Can / May) I sit here?

    • Do you mind if I take this seat? (= May I borrow this seat?)

    • Do you care if I am late for dinner tonight?(= would it bother you if I am late)

  • I’ve been there, I want to go somewhere new.

  • There is a small branch of the post office near the station. The main branch is several minutes away on foot.

  • At the end of the month, I get my credit card (bill / statement).

  • Did you feel that Italy was affected by over-tourism?

  • The Louvre, especially the Mona Lisa is the face of over-tourism. 

  • What makes you go to Kamakura so often?

    • What brought you to Japan?
