  • I felt like a bird when I went paragliding.

Vocabulary

  • Homemade; (adj) made at home, not at a shop or factory. Often used for sweets, baked good, preserves etc

  • Handmade; (adj) made by hand, not by machine. Often used for crafted goods.

  • Scoot over; (verb) to slide over

  • “In the flesh”; in person; face to face

  • Apartment; a residence that is typically rented on a monthly basis

    • Condominium; a residence that is typically owned

  • Dressage; (noun) the art of training and riding a horse

  • Graduate (verb) ( GRAJ-oo-eyt )

    • This is the school I graduated from.

  • Graduate (adj, noun) ( GRAJ-oo-it )

    • I am going to graduate school next year, I plan to get my Master’s degree.

    • I am a graduate of this school.

  • Those people over there are not familiar with us.

  • This idea is new and unfamiliar to me.

    • All these words are foreign to me.

  • Pass out; to lose consciousness 

  • Pass away; (casual) to die
