  • My son developed a fever, so he stayed home. Luckily I didn’t develop any symptoms.

A Day Out

  • An (aqua / water) park

  • An art gallery typically shows paintings or pictures; some sell the art

  • A park; a garden

  • Game centre, arcade

  • Driving range

  • The water; a stretch or area of water, such as rivers, lakes, seas etc

    • We had a picnic on the water last weekend.

    • There is a cute little cafe on the water near Kakio station.

  • I like to go to shopping centres to do window shopping.

Vocabulary

  • Develop; start to experience or have; especially medical symptoms

  • Mediaeval; (adj) relating to the Middle Ages; can also mean cruel, uncivilized or primitive

  • Director; (noun) a person in charge of an organization, department or activity

  • Equestrian centre

    • Equine; relating to horses, and the horse family
