Words & Phrases

  • I need to find a new cafe for lunch.

    • That cafe’s coffee was pretty mediocre. (= not very good)

  • Both of their mothers were centenarians. (= a person who is hundred or more years old)

  • I’m not feeling jet lagged at the moment, but this evening around 7pm I think I’ll start feeling drowsy. (= sleepy, half a sleep)
