Vocabulary

  • See; used to talk about experiencing something, like a play, movie, race, etc

    • It’s a general word for “something comes to our eyes”

  • Watch; used when something is happening or going to happen.

    • We watch things that change, move or develop

  • Look; used to talk about concentrating, paying attention, trying to see as well as possible

  • We “watch” TV, but we “see” plays, films, races etc

Dates

We can read dates in different ways; there is no difference in meaning. Just sentence structure is different.

    • May the tenth, two-thousand-twenty-four

    • The tenth of May …

    • May tenth …
