Lesson Notes March 28, 2023 (TUESDAY ZOOM)

  • Capsize; (of a boat) be overturned in the water

    • A rafting boat capsized on a popular rafting river after hitting a rock.

  • Boatman (plural; boatmen); a person who gives transport by boat

  • The university has a lot of culture (classes / courses) for adult students.

    • There is a guard box near the entrance, if you go this way you have to show ID. If you take a back entrance you can go in without showing ID.

    • Before the university restaurant was open to the public.

  • While I was hospitalized, a patient who was sharing the same room with me recommended a restaurant. (An improved version of the sentence)

    • When I was hospitalized a patient in the same room as me recommended a restaurant.

  • Let’s make it (a plan / a reality / happen)
