Lesson Notes January 9, 2023 (Vocabulary Building)

Outside today, my nose had been running.
Last weekend when I left for work it was sleeting.

… there was sleet.
At first there was no snow, just hail.

I went to a comedy show the other day, the performance was so funny. (NOT the stage was so funny)
The game was (delayed / suspended) for an hour because of thunder and heavy rain.
Who (organized / planned) the get-together?

I planned it about a month before.

Sleet; (noun / verb) mixture of rain and snow
Hail; (noun / verb) pellets of frozen rain
Get-together; (noun) an informal gathering
