Lesson Notes December 26, 2023 (TUESDAY ZOOM)

  • My favourite food at Christmas dinner is mashed rutabaga.

  • We are going to our other home in Nagano, and returning on January 2. (NOT going to our satellite)

  • I microwaved leftover rice for my lunch.

    • I’m going to microwave some popcorn, do you want some?

  • Do you use pocket warmers during winter?

  • We used too many things yesterday and tripped the breaker.

  • I needed to flip the breaker

    • Flip on the radio, I want to listen to some music.

    • Do you mind flipping off the TV, no one is watching it.

  • I defrosted frozen fish in the microwave.

  • The electric kettle uses a lot of power.

  • Do you like to eat baked sweet potato?

  • I bought some cherry tomatoes at a reasonable price.

  • In school we germinated seeds to learn about how plants grow.

  • Germinate; (verb) (of a seed) begin to grow and put out shoots after a period of dormancy
