Lesson Notes December 19, 2023 (Elementary)
We are so busy with practices, and the locations are far. (NOT practice)
Once a week we come back home after ten o’clock. (NOT over ten o’clock)
A: How many teams are in the tournament?
B: There are about 10 teams. It’s a big competition.Nobody switched on my kettle, but the water boiled.
I don’t decorate a Christmas tree. I only hang a wreath.
In front of the botanical picture there were some climbers on a table.
Where can we buy the materials to make a wreath?
I knitted a cellphone case for myself.

We use a rising intonation for yes/no questions and a falling intonation for question-word questions.
“Gonna” is not a real word, we can use it in informal conversations but we shouldn’t use it in formal or in writing.
